Iceland Volcano - Eruption continues to cause disruption

Despite predictions that the impact of the eruption in Iceland would become more limited, it appears that this is not yet the case. There are still many people stranded on the continent as planes are still grounded and people are having to find alternative methods of getting home.

There are many who say that the Met Office are over-reacting by advising that airports remain closed, causing travel disruption for hundreds of thousands of people and costing the economy millions of pounds. However, others believe that following the 'precautionary principal' is the best bet as humdreds of lives could be placed at risk if the skies are still not 100% safe for aircraft.
